The Bernard Matthews II was paged at 17.40, launched at 17.48 and alongside the casualty just 9 minutes later.

The yacht, Alba, with three crew onboard had lost all navigation East of Scroby sands and was getting very close to the sands when the lifeboat arrived as the mist closed in.

Crewmen Tommy Williams and Jonathon Banyard were put aboard to connect the tow and the yacht was towed back to the Town Hall Quay.

The Lifeboat was back on Station 21.25.

Crew were Coxswain Paul Williams, Thomas Williams, Jonathon Banyard, Aaron Thurlow and Alex Low.
