Service to yacht Truant who had suffered engine failure 2 miles NE of the Cockle buoy and was having difficulty sailing into the fresh southerly wind and strong ebb tide. The lifeboat got alongside and transferred A Low and N Beales onto the yacht to connect the tow. A crew member from the yacht was transferred onto the lifeboat as he was suffering from seasickness. A course was then set for Lowestoft harbour.
