The ALB was launched to a Yacht in Distress about 10 miles out. Engines had failed and she could make no progress under sail against a strong southerly and an ebb tide.

On reaching the vessel Crewman Alex Low boarded the stricken yacht and attached the tow.

It was then towed all the way to Lowestoft.
