The lifeboat was called out to a man overboard from the ferry Pride of Rotterdam. He was reported missing when the ferry docked
in Hull but was last seen at midnight. The pagers went off at 0555 and the lifeboat was launched ten minutes later. A search was given to the lifeboat covering an area 10 miles east of Mundesly to 20 miles north east of Cromer. The lifeboat returned to Caister at 1120. As the ferry was unsure what time the MOB went missing lifeboats from Humber, Skegness, Wells , Cromer, Caister, Gorleston and Lowestoft as well as two Seaking helicopters covered an extensive area but unfortunately didn't find the MOB.
